SunContract energy marketplace well received
A brief report on MOS 2018
Dear SunLovers,
From the 11th to the 16th of September 2018, the SunContract platform was presented at the MOS fair for the first time since the launch in April earlier this year.
At the fair which took place in Celje, we were actively addressing potential new users of our energy marketplace. The fair was well attended by more than 120,000 visitors, 17,000 of whom we distributed our promotional brochures with special offers that they could redeem even after the fair came to an end.

We are very pleased with the visit of our exhibition space. Many visitors were eager to find out how they can set up their electricity production or purchase electric energy through the SunContract platform. The registrations on the platform did not lag behind. We gained a lot of lead contacts for our sales department to further explore.
You’ve probably noticed we repeatedly use the phrase Energy Marketplace in our text. This is not a coincidence. We started to use the term more actively after the implementation of the communication and marketing campaign. The term was very well accepted at the fair.
MOS aside, our sales department has also been hard at work — and the results have been very encouraging. In the last 6 months, SunContract’s user database has steadily grown. We’ve grown significantly faster than is typical for companies in the energy sector where growth happens slower due to necessary entry investment and annual contracts with which some buyers or producers are bound — to other electricity suppliers.
We have also been receiving a lot of attention from the media. We have been featured on national TV News, financial newspapers, radio, and a lot of other local media. Feel free to check out our last interview about the SunContract platform on the Slovenian national television in very visible TV show Točka preloma (from 16:30 to 22:00).
They showed a solar power plant at Dobrna school, which sells electricity on our platform, talked with SunContract CEO — Gregor Novak about functioning and global potential of the platform… We received many positive responses based on our participation in the show.

SunContract is an energy trading platform that directly connects energy producers and consumers into an energy pool based on smart contracts. Blockchain technology takes over the role of the middle man as a trusted technology infrastructure. The blockchain technologies are implemented into existing energy distribution systems without changing the general energy regulation framework. We have already developed and launched our pilot project which is in use on a national level in Slovenia for a start. We are currently working on expansion, and adoption of the platform globally.
