SunContract gearing up for upcoming platform launch
Dozens to begin trading electricity on SunContract Platform — April 1st

We are in the middle of a grand energy disruption — one like no other before. The way the world obtains and uses electricity is about to be transformed and we at SunContract are at the forefront of this disruption.
Once upon a time, solar energy production was viewed as tedious and unnecessary. Due to numerous factors including change in climate, things have changed drastically over the years. We are now seeing more and more homes topped with solar panels as a general attitudinal shift sweeps through the global public making them embrace the technology behind as well as the benefits of the production of green energy. We have begun as a society to appreciate the fact that green energy reduces greenhouse emissions and diversifies our energy supply — reducing our dependence on oil. We have also come to realize that the sun is a renewable source of energy which can actually provide small scale energy producers independence from monopolies, and for homeowners, it can reduce hefty electricity costs which are only bound to get heftier if we stick with the non-renewable, environmentally-detrimental energy options.
Slovenians ready to trade electricity using blockchain
We are exactly a month away from the launch of our decentralizing peer-to-peer energy trading platform that will connect individuals — with an emphasis on homeowners — enabling them to buy or sell green electricity by use of the SunContract platform.
In preparation for the platform release, last week, we sent Slovenian Pioneers invitations as well as instructions on how to join the SunContract open energy market. We were overwhelmed by the number of pioneers that expressed interest in signing contracts to become the first non-test, peer-to-peer, green energy traders using Blockchain technology on our mobile and web-based platform.
Due to Slovenian regulations that SunContract strives to comply with, every new client has to sign a contract that is then verified by the DSO (Distribution System Operator) by the 10th day of the previous month in order to begin trading energy on the 1st of a given month. This means that in order for Slovenian pioneers to trade energy on April 1st, they needed to have signed the contract by March 10th. Those who signed the contract within the 4-day deadline are already registered in the DSO system while those that expressed interest but did not get around to signing the contract before the deadline are in line to begin electricity trading in May — as long as they sign the contracts by April 10th, 2018.
We are very excited and honored to be providing dozens of people with clean, green electricity on April 1st, 2018, and we are truly humbled and privileged to have the opportunity to introduce this life changing, cost-saving and emancipating business model that enables our users to maximize their utility and efficiency while at the same time preserving the environment for future generations. We have additional details on the activities that begin on April 1st, 2018. These will be part of the topics that SunContract CEO — Gregor Novak will be discussing at the SunContract product launch on April 13th where we are extremely excited to show you the finished product and celebrate its completion with all of you. We will also be communicating this week — the launch itinerary as well as that of the Slovenia tour on April 14th, 2018.
Don’t forget to RSVP for the launch event on the platform should you wish to attend. The deadline for doing this is March 31st, after which — the option will no longer be available on the SunContract platform’s products page.
We are eager with excitement to meet our pioneers on April 13th at the platform launch. As mentioned last week, we have arranged some accommodation deals with hotels in both Ljubljana and Bled for our foreign pioneers. We also encourage our local pioneers who will be drinking one too many at the after party to secure themselves a room at one of these hotels.
