As time goes by, communication style changes frequently. In the past, when our ancestor didn’t have any technologies, they only could communicate through languages. However, we developed technology from A-Z, now we can utilize various kinds of technologies. In addition, as we developed lots of the most up to date crafts, the word “Trend” formed. Web-Based Communication
In much of the world, the Internet is becoming the primary medium or communication in business. Internet communication tools save money in a variety of ways. For example, VoIP(voice over ip) allows people to call a telephone. This is often considerably cheaper than calling from a telphone, particularly with international skills. One of the most popular Internet telephony tools is Skype. Actually, I use Skype often to keep in touch with my family in Korea. As I am in different country, we cannot talk through phone because of international fee. Because of Skype, we can see each other’s face and talk as much as we can.
Increased Use of Cloud-Based Solutions
With cloud computing, companies can reduce the size of their own data centers or eliminate their data center footprint altogether. The reduction of the numbers of servers, the software cost, and the number of staff can significantly reduce IT costs without impacting an organization’s IT capabilities. In addition, data and applications are available to employees no matter where they are in the world. Workers can take their work anywhere via smart phones and tablets, roaming through a retail store to check customers out, visiting customers in their homes or offices, working in the field or at a plant.
Continued Shift to Mobile Computing
Mobile devices gives us lots of benefits. For example, when the company make new technologies and announce it through internet, it is often made on social internet and social media as the organization continues to apply new technologies for communication which are readily accessible using mobile and smart devices. These tools provide employees access to business data and CRM platforms through their smart mobile devices.
According to the book “style and structure in modern Business communication by William T. McKinnon, I could learn the most important thing to be considered for success in business is to make employees engage and produce better results through discussion Forums. Althought discussion forum may seem like old methods to some, it is still one of the preferred communication business tools used today. It can bring together management and employees and allows for an open discussion on any topic. For me, when I participate in lecture in my college, we usually have discussion time with our group discuss about our main idea of today’s lecture. This time helps me a lot because I can recognize other different thoughts from people, so that I could expand my knowledge of the topic. In addition it helps us to engage in class better as we have to listen class to discuss with people about the topic. I will try to participate all class as much as I can, and to be involved in school.
