Why Should we use new style of communication in Business
As the growth of the virtual workplace is booming, how businesses communicate internally is rapidly changing. The most recent advances in technology, video, social media platforms have made enterprise communication increasingly social. They also help business to expand by itself in the market. There are 3 representative communication skills that companies uses in reality that lead to efficiency and make a better profit.
Salesforce
Salesforce is the company which leads the way in enterprise cloud services. It launched Salesforce1 platform, which caters to the growing mobile movement by allowing customers to easily move applications to mobile devices. Salesforce also presented a partnership with Hewlett-Packard to develop a “Superpod” that will provide dedeicated infrastructure for large customers to run Salesforce in the cloud. This gives us a glimpse into the future of enterprise cloud services that will offer both shared public infrastructure and option of cloud technologies.
Kaltura
Kaltura utilized open-source online video software. As the internet and camera technology developed, we could combine those technologies and create a “Online Video software skill”. With this technology, companies can create their own corporate video channel such as think-youtube; providing a fun and interactive way to communicate. It also can be used for employee training or general meeting. In addition, using this technology, it can be utilized as an external way too. For example, it can be applied to the method of promotion of their products to customers all over the world and as one of marketing strategies.
TigerText
As lots of companies used email as one of the ways to communicate with customers, it is no longer the best answer. Writing thousands of email messages is time consuming, and it is not an efficient way to deal with customers. TigerText is changing internal business communciation and replacing the need for email by providing a tool that allows us to securely message and share files with coworkers from a various devices. Coworkers are instantly connected without needing to exchange personal numbers, so that they can communicate easily excluding useless steps.
Before I search what kind of business communication that companies use, I did not know about it well. I realized there are so many ways to communicate each other by using new styles of skills. It changed my mind that communicating is not only for talking each other, but can be utilized in various ways for both verbal and non-verbal ways. I should practice these communicating skills to my colleges as it helps me in real life. Including talking to face to face, communicating through video call and text is also one of the way to communicate each other. I am not used to do those, but i will try my best to be used to it so that i can utilize various options whenever I greet new people.
