Sup! Entries for the Quetzal Battle are piling up ahead of the battle. The pot has already reached an astounding 14.24 ETH, with a count of 145 frogs enlisted to battle. To account for the overwhelming majority of players who will send their KingFrog off to die in battle, we have included a important distribution mechanism — and we need your help!

Contract Mechanics

The smart contract for Quetzal Battle is written to take lives from the KingFrog and eliminate them at random until one frog stands. This process ensures that there is no bias in the process of elimination. After the battle completes, the prize pool is distributed.

As it stands — 70% of the pool goes directly to the winner, with the remaining 30% going to the MegaVolt treasury for community distribution. The current proposal from the team is a 50/50 allocation to the DAO and the broader community — potential the runner-up. MegaVolt is calling on the pond to help determine the best way to allocate this 30% in a way that best benefits the broader ecosystem and its community.

Current Distribution Breakdown

  • 70% to 1st place winner
  • 15% to DAO
  • 15% to community

The Quetzal Returns is a key component of the DuckGod cycle — once defeated, the DuckGod can return. We are super excited to bring you this experience as the lore of SupDucks to expand. Until then, grab yourself a KingFrog and enlist in battle!
