SUPERJUMP are big fans of indie games; you’ll notice a number of our writers covering them at the moment. When I think back over the last decade of gaming, I can’t choose just one game to focus on. So, I thought I’d look back at my favorites — games that really stood out for one reason or another.

Let’s start with one of the most unique games that you probably didn’t play: Renowned Explorers International Society (REIS).

Around the Rogue in 80 Days

REIS has a similar plot to the popular indie game Curious Expedition, where your mission is to explore the world and find treasures to prove that you are worthy of joining the premier explorer’s club. REIS combines strategy RPG elements and roguelike gameplay to create a different experience.

Each run, you’ll choose your party from a massive cast of characters. Each character is a unique individual who belongs to one of four classes — Scientist, Scout, Fighter, and Speaker. The class determines what kinds…
