Revolutionizing Horror with MS Paint

How one man from Poland — armed with the famously lo-fi art tool — is redefining horror in video games

I love it when I’m genuinely surprised by an indie game. In fact, those titles typically end up at the very top of my annual best-of lists. Last year, the amazing Vision Soft Reset worked its way up my personal rankings. And although 2020 is still young, it looks like there’s already a major game of the year contender on the horizon — or at least, horror game of the year. World of Horror, by one-man-dev Panstasz (and published by ysbryd games), is currently in early access on Steam but regardless, it may be one of the best takes on horror design I’ve ever seen and it really deserves to be discussed further.
