Usually, I try to limit the number of stories I write about about the same topic. I feel like variety is the spice of life. In this case, however, there is more to say about Omori. The story doesn’t really end when the player reaches an ending. It ends when you pause to consider the impact on your thought process and emotions.

I wasn’t expecting to get into the lore of Omori. Yet I keep searching for videos on what people find in the truth of the story. Some discuss the Easter eggs that hint at the horrifying backstory that colors the present, and the symbolism. Others discuss the accurate representation of mental health discussions and the fallibility of people. Choices are also a big factor, that what the player decides early in the game will determine your route, and ending.

One thing remains clear: the Omori impact is far from done after its Christmas 2020 release. The game has gained a following, and interest. What is the allure of the game?
