--

The charting space has received a new upgrade allowing for user control over most aspects of the theme. With some nicer theme options being something I think a lot of us would enjoy, I decided to make it interesting and turn this into a good old fashioned competition!

The Contest

The competition will be split up into three categories.

  • Light Themes
  • Dark Themes
  • Color Vision Deficiency Themes

There will be only one winner for each category, voted for and chosen by the community. Each winner will receive a 65,000 SA token reward!

Rules

  • Users may submit 1 theme per category.
  • The last day to submit your theme will be Nov. 1st 2022.
  • All themes must be submitted to the Superalgos docs.
  • The community will vote and select the winner of each category.
  • Each user is only allowed 1 vote per category.
  • Users may request specific new colors be made available.
  • Any user suspected of cheating will be disqualified.
  • Any issues default to the judgment of Julian Molina and myself for resolution.

Now that we have our competition rules and details cleared up we can get down to brass tacks!

Charting Space Theme Control Guide

To control the theme of your charting space please add the Space Style node to your Charting Space node as seen below.

Once added, the Space Style Configuration can be adjusted. The default up to date settings are available in the docs and an example can be found in the screenshot below.

Most changes will take effect immediately while other changes require a refresh of the webpage.

The up to date list of currently available colors can be found in the docs. For any special color requests users can get ahold of me directly on the telegram community group( @theblockchainarborist ) .

How to Contribute Your Theme

In depth details on how to contribute and submit your theme can be found in the docs under the “How to Contribute Themes” Page. The easy to follow step by step directions will guide you through your first theme contribution!

Please feel free to use as many or few of the configuration options as you would like. Additional configuration options will also be considered for creation and I will do my best to accommodate as many reasonable requests as I can.

Closing Thoughts

As we stride forward to a more visually appealing tomorrow, we do so together. I invite every one of you to consider the benefits of more user run competitions and events like this in the future. Have a feature you would really like to see or an existing project you would like to get more attention? Not only do I see nothing wrong with placing a “bounty” personally on the desired work, I think it is a good thing and something that should be encouraged!

This competition is intended to be a fun way of introducing the new charting space features while giving every one of us some quality theme options to choose from!

So please, have fun, enjoy, and let the best themes win!
