This month, there are two new data mines from quantum8 and Blaa; a total of six new indicators, and some bug fixes on existing indicators!

This Month’s Additions

Machine Learning Data Mine:

  • Price Normalized Logistic Regression
  • Z Normalized Logistic Regression

Berlin Range Index (BRI) Data Mine:

  • BRI Simple Moving Average
  • BRI Exponential Moving Average

Quantum Data Mine

  • Braid Filter
  • QQE Mod

Bug Fixes:

  • Know Sure Thing data access bug fix (divergence mine)
  • Keltner Channel invalid data fix (quantum mine)
  • Sparta Mine; fixed missing data definitions for both SMA and EMA which caused them to be inaccessible.

Machine Learning Data Mine

Blaa Johan (BlaaSwe) has brought us two heavy hitting indicators in the form of logistic regression with gradient descent. These indicators create a model of the price action and performs logistic regression on the resulting model, applying either price action or Z normalization from these results before finally calculating a prediction model and normalizing those results.

Berlin Range Index

The BRI uses the price action to find out if a market is trending or ranging. The index increases when price action remains within the set standard deviation area of the Average True Range (ATR). The resulting index is then smoothed using the SMA or EMA method depending on the indicator used.

Braid Filter

The Braid Filter, found in the quantum mine, shows the strength of a trend and can be used as a confirmation indicator.

The Braid filter is essentially the difference in high and low values taken from three exponential moving averages of differing lengths. This difference is then compared to the Average True Range of the price action to determine if the current trend is strong.

QQE Mod

The QQE mod, found in the quantum mine, is an extension of the Quantitative Qualitative Estimation indicator. It uses two QQE indicators of differing parameters, and will print a coloured output when both of these agree.

End Notes

With many more indicators in the pipeline, stay tuned for future updates in the area. As always if you would like an indicator that’s not already in Superalgos, come chat with us in the telegram or discord groups.
