This month, three indicators were committed to the repository by @quantum8: Banker Fund Flow, SMI FMI and HLC Trend.

These indicators can be found in the “Undulated” data mine.

Banker Fund Flow

The Banker Fund Flow indicator produces an oscillator that attempts to identify oversold and overbought zones where bankers/whales would traditionally enter buy and sell positions.

The indicator’s output will show an oscillating histogram, with green colour indicating an upward trend, and grey for upward losing momentum. Red depicts a downward trend with blue highlighting the downward trend is losing momentum. There are also red and green threshold zones which identify overbought and oversold zones respectively.

In addition, there are green arrows identifying a shift in momentum in the oversold zone, indicating a possibly entry point, and red arrows in the overbought zone indicating a possible sell point.

SMI FMI

The Stochastic Momentum Index of Money Flow Index (SMI FMI) indicator as it’s name implies, combines the Money Flow Index with the Stochastic True Strength. This means we are measuring momentum based on buying and selling pressure rather than just price.

The indicator’s output will show an oscillating histogram, with blue colour indicating an upward trend, and red depicting a downward trend. The overbought and oversold areas are dynamically calculated using a statistical method to obtain n-th percentile value using the Nearest Rank Method.

HLC Trend

The High-Low-Close (HLC) Trend indicator calculates the simple moving average (SMA) using the aforementioned inputs and then calculates the difference between the high and close, and low and close to produce the oscillator’s output.

The indicator’s output will show the close-high signal as green, and the close-low signal as red. If the green signal is above the red, then the prevailing trend is upward, and vice versa.

The histogram in the background shows green for a strong upward trend, red for a strong downward trend, and orange for a weakening or ranging trend.
