October has seen part of the Data Mining team working hard on providing trading signals, but lucky for you, the team remains strong with long time contributors. So, this month only our dear friend Quantum has provided a very rich contribution in the name of the Data Mining team. Let us cheer him up and support his claims.
The Volume Adjusted Weighted Moving Average (VAWMA) is a moving average calculation that more heavily weights recent price data. LWMAs are quicker to react to price changes than the simple moving average (SMA) and the exponential moving average (EMA).
The Enhanced SuperTrend uses the Volume Adjusted Weighted Moving Average (VAWMA) to calculate it’s trend lines, instead of using the HLC3 as the source of the standard indicator. It then goes further to show when the trend is potentially changing when the price action pierces the trend line.
The Pursue Line indicator is a modification of the Super Trend, with the addition of using a standard deviation calculation to determine the trend direction.
The Compound Ratio Weighted Moving average (CoRa) is a moving average that weights recent price action in a logarithmically linear way. This results in an indicator that has even less lag than the ALMA, WMA and EMA.
The Buy and Sell Trend Identifier produces chart candles based on calculating the trend direction using an average of the price action exceeding a calculated threshold value.
The Keltner Baseline plots a trend line, trend direction, and trend colored candles based on the price action exceeding the Average True Range threshold once applied to the EMA.
