Multi-chain support for Governance Rewards
Governance Rewards Now Possible on Multiple Blockchains
As the Superalgos Tokens in our BSC treasury have been fully distributed to hard-working contributors, it was time to move on. The next batch of Governance Rewards Tokens will be made available on ETH, bringing Superalgos to an even broader audience. Elves and Fairies have enhanced the Superalgos Code to handle tokens on several different chains. This included changes to the logic for blockchain balances, reporting panes, reputation and distribution. With these changes, Superalgos can now issue Governance Rewards on any EVM-compatible blockchain.
Crashes During Submission of Contributions Resolved
Contributors reported new issues with contributing to the Superalgos Github repository. The process was crashing, stating memory errors. A nasty and time-consuming investigation revealed memory handling issues of the Jest testing suite when running in combination with newer versions of node. Several workarounds were developed and tested, whereas they either worked for Linux or for Windows users. To resolve the issue entirely, we decided to deactivate Jest unit tests for now.

Good Fairies also updated the DE translation for the reworked “Welcome to Superalgos” Tutorial and fixed some smaller bugs (PRs 4244, 4246, 4249).
