Asset Folder Review

Project releases slowed down this March, so the assets folder within the Superalgos Foundations project were targeted for review. Many icons did not follow the guidelines set out in the SA documentation and also contained colours not specified in the pallet. The task this month was to review the asset collection and create uniform icons for all assets.

New Guidelines

Upon review of those icons it was noted that some icons contained a circular background, some had rounded square backgrounds and also some did not contain backgrounds. This can be confusing at first glance when looking around the workspace and we have decided to create a 512px x 512px split circle background for all assets.

Because of the limited selection of colours within the pallet some asset icons may not be the same colour as the original but we have tried to find the closest match.

Icon creation so far…

The new guidelines have only been introduced recently and although we will be adhering to those guidelines from now on, the UX/UI team contributed a whole load of refreshed asset icons to the project that do not follow these guidelines. These icons have taken time to create and are merged with the project and are being used by everyone.

More to come

Following the new guidelines we will continue to update the assets folder accordingly, if you would like to have your say and voice your opinions please send us a message in the UX/UI telegram group.
