War is coming: WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES trailer lands

“It is the dawning of the age of *ahem* primates”

Caesar is one of the great cinematic creations of recent years. And soon the character will go to War, whether he wants to or not.

After James Franco in RISE, Gary Oldman in DAWN, it’s now Woody Harrelson’s turn to face the Apes. And he looks pissed to all hell.

There is a lot of this imagery that is quite iconic, the riding on horseback in the snow, the shot of Caesar facing a gun at his forehead, basically anything with the Apes.

The motion capture and performances of the actors in the suits continues to amaze me. And it really is a matter of when, not if, we will see Andy Serkis getting an Oscar for his portrayal of Caesar.

The recent APES films have been very very good, but somehow we don’t talk about them as much as we should. I just hope they keep making money so they keep making more.
