Patch kit

  • Bringing a patch kit will save yourself from getting stranded on the side of the road when your bike gets a flat tire. Just be sure you know how to properly patch a tire interior. Watch this link to know how to properly patch your tire (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2sKMqB9QCg)

Extra tire interior

  • Keeping an extra interior ready will save you a ton of time in contrast to bringing a patch kit. With an extra interior, you will just have to bring out your punctured interior and replace it, simple as that. But be sure you bring a tire lever to get that tire off your rims especially if you’re not using a foldable tires.

Portable pump

  • A portable pump is crucial to bring while riding because you can’t inflate your tires even if you’ve already patched it. Also, you can buy a portable pump at a reasonably affordable price at your local bike shop.

Multitool

  • Having a multitool with you is very handy since it’s compact and functional. Unlike if you had to bring a whole toolbox just to fix your bike, you risk losing those items or worse, have a hard time bringing it around. Especially if you need to quick make adjustments on your bike to make the ride more comfortable? Just stick to the multi-tool, and it will do the job.

Smartphone

  • Great for directions, communication and probably just about everything. It may save your life especially if anything bad happens.

Money

  • Can’t predict the next time you’ll be needing a snack to munch on or some water to gulp down, so be sure that you’re financially ready before setting out for the road/trail.

Helmet

  • As the saying goes, no helmet no ride. Safety first even if it means cycling short distances. Ruining your hair is is much better than ruining your head.
