SuperDAO update: ninja developers, exciting new stealth dapp & more
Its been a long time since we provided an update, but the absence from community activity was not without cause. We are now in the last stages of organizational setup with new and exciting updates that provide the context and rationale behind our thinking and temporary public inactivity.
Poker industry player collaboration
First of all, We would like to mention the fact that we are already thinking ahead of the poker market entry and putting some strategic thoughts on how to develop our customer acquisition strategy for decentralized poker. We strongly believe by lowering the barrier to entry by providing users with an undeniable value proposition with provable fairness, lowered costs, a seamless user experience and a stable currency in the near future, we will truly be in a position to compete with several industry leaders. Nevertheless, due to our work in the field of decentralized poker; Pokereum, we are now in talks with some big players in the online poker industry. As you may know, we are working on the first proposed shadow poker smart contract based, provably fair decentralized poker. Understandably, established movers in the poker industry wanted to understand and learn from experts in the crypto sphere. It is a chance at collaborations we are taking head-on giving us also a chance to learn from them. We are set to release the fully flushed out actual demo video you see here several weeks from now and we are excited to be the first market viable, fully flushed out user experience poker game working on the Ethereum blockchain, testnet for now and then several iterations into live production on the Ethereum main chain.
Production ready Media dapp
As some of you may also know, we are working on a “stealth” dapp that will provide immediate benefits to backers of our project at the very launch of our main crowdfunding (not pre-sale ). The new DAPP deviates from the defacto “ICO” model, and instead operates by rewarding users for passive and proactive efforts in its internal economy. A lot of effort is now going into building the white paper, the tasks streamlining, management and actually ninja dev work on the actually dapp by top tier developer talent. The new dapp not only solves a very valid market problem by disrupting and dis-intermediating incumbent rent seekers in existing industries, it also provides an immediate answer to the question that backers are asking about our valuation by providing actual benefits back to backers when we launch, something only a few projects in the crypto space are actually aiming for at this current time.
Ethereum Developer Talent & Global inclusion
As mentioned earlier, we have also been recruiting developer talent globally in recent months. Some of our efforts took us to Lagos Nigeria where we introduced and trained several web developers in the language of solidity and Ethereum blockchain application development . We were also fortunate enough to on-board several other developer talent in other areas of the world, exiting leading fortune 500 tech companies such as Google, Uber and New York times. Most of the new talent will be focused on delivering our tokenized, market ready media dapp.
SuperDAO Governance
Also in the pipeline is a functional decentralized governance organizational smart contract code that will be responsible for collective decision making within the SuperDAO organization. At which time the organization will evolve to the next state “Funded” of its pre-determined stages of deployment. Thoughts on the times and the “ICO” hype
Its a wonderful time to be working as team on the bleeding edge of technology involving programmable money, crypto-economic driven dapps that galvanize networks. With all the ongoing hype, we are focused on delivering actual problem solving, value adding dapps. Although the break in development has been quite painful, it was very necessary to build our internal human capital. We now have the organizational power to deliver actual working projects that will drain the value from over inflated gimmicky projects. We believe that any project serious on delivering user friendly, actual value adding products will also enjoy the influx of value due to backer exodus from gimmicky ICO projects, it will be like the internet bubble, but on a larger scale. There are currently a plethora of pseudo disruptive dapps marketed as innovation in order to succeed with ICO’s; The truth is, there is also a barrier to entry being created, which will prevent there dapps from being truly adopted. To illustrate the point, imagine if a consumer had to pay for every Facebook post and or photo upload? Such economically costly interactions are untenable for mass adoption and success of dapps in general. Better approaches are models that reward user effort for value contribution, an archaic example of such a dapp is Steemit. With our new social crypto - economically incentivized media dapp, we hope to deliver maximum value to end users, resulting in economical growth driven by demand of the dapp’s software protocol reward tokens.
