At superego, we’re looking for stories by young people that offer discussion on social change.

Oftentimes, we find ourselves reading a lot about “Gen Z.” We’ve become a buzzword, and rarely are we writing the stories. We’re looking to change that — we’ve created this platform to voice our perspectives on the social, political, and cultural climates we’ve inherited. We demand actionable change and accountability. We recognize the rights that all humans are entitled to — and we don’t want to spend much time justifying that. We’re constant students and understand that we will never be done learning. If you identify with what we’re putting down and are itching to have a voice in today’s global conversations, we want to hear it. Guidelines to submit:

When you submit your piece, please include the following:

  • Story title.
  • Story subtitle.
  • Cover photo. We can work with you on this.
  • Two of the following topics to tag: Gen Z, politics, technology, culture, social justice, art, social media, climate change, identity

Be open to working with us through the publishing process! We’re invested in establishing new writers and broadening all perspectives brought to superego. We look forward to reading your work!

General Guidelines:

  • You must have a byline and photo on your Medium account. We want our readers to know who they’re reading.
  • Familiarize yourself with our Manifesto
  • Adhere to Medium’s Distribution Standards
  • We are looking for submissions 5 mins or longer

Please send pitches to editor@superegomedia.org. At this time, our publication operates on a volunteer basis and is unpaid.
