AR is the Next video

This is a Part 2 of 3 Part series on why AR in the next Video. For Part 1 click here.

What drives humans is change. With technology on the rise, mankind has been witnessing rapid transformation in everything.

For businesses, this is an incontestable point in their aspect of growth. Earlier, flyers and radio spots were used to advertise one’s enterprise. Now, ads pop up on video-streaming platforms and of course, social media circles abound in virtually almost every form of advertisements.

Take Mondelez India’s ad for Cadbury Marvellous Creations in 2016, where one bite sends a man into a frenzy, with the world around him coming to life. Their marketing strategy was to inundate their social media channels with such videos. Fast forward to the harrowing pandemic year of 2020. Cadbury’s ‘#SayThankYou’ campaign was directed at doctors battling the deadly virus. For the general population, it created an Instagram AR filter that enables users to send virtual chocolate bars to people, with ‘thank you’ written on the wrapper that can be altered in 8 vernacular languages.

8 different languages

Can you gauge the change of the communication style for the same portals?

Is change absolute?

However, newness is a very relative concept; what’s novel now might become redundant soon. Websites are markers of our digital footprints and they require a lot of contextual coding to be born. Well, even though coding is still a mode of creation, nowadays one can make a website just by dragging and dropping templates.

Even apps, which act as ornaments for digital screens and oh-so-useful assistants in our daily lives, need coding to get built. Well, not anymore. ‘No-code’ development platforms are enabling users, both common man and IT professionals, to build an app without going down the tedious road of coding.

Similarly, Augmented Reality, which looked like a figment of pop culture and sci-fi myths, is a very palpable technology that has percolated into the 21st-century eugenics. Admittedly, the algorithms behind AR applications are quite complex and taxing. It seems that only developers can put a saddle on such a diversified tech force, helped by the power of coding.

Is this fair?

Considering it’s such a visually stimulating concept, with such an interactive mode, it’s only justified that everybody can drink from the same fountain. AR is definitely an astonishing tech, with staggering possibilities in content creation and influencing the world. Be it a brand, social media influencer, or a person merely seeking a marvelous experience, AR is meant for all. Superfan Studio offers you that edge of emancipation, where you can enjoy the fruits of AR without having to resort to ruthless coding and programming.

Famous sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke wrote a tantalizingly true statement in his book Profiles of the Future: An Inquiry into the Limits of the Possible: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

However, unlike the distinction between the magical fraternity in Harry Potter and the Muggles, i.e. non-magic folks, the current formats of science are meant for everyone, irrespective of one’s understanding of technology.

From building websites to customizing AR templates, technology extends its magic to all.

Building websites without coding? NOT castles in the air:

It is incumbent upon companies and establishments to have a website of their own to actually put forward their vision and create a discernible digital signature on the Web. To create one, a developer needs a thorough understanding of programming languages. He/she has to weigh out the pros and cons of each coding form, based on the requirements. There is a diverse line-up of programming languages, which can be daunting for anyone but the experts.

Web development is an inscrutable term for the layman, not much intelligible than Hebrew. It refers to the process of creating a website, from a single page to multiple ones, varying in complexity. Web development entails quite a spectrum of actions:

- Web design

- Content creation

- Programming

- Network security tasks

- Server-side scripting, etc,.

Not anymore shall one require the dexterity of a web developer.

There exist now, a huge array of tools and platforms which can help an individual or a company to design a website, without having to resort to the expenses and hassles of web development.

Wix and WordPress offer such lucrative features and functions, from which one can formulate websites like a pro.

Seamless drag and drop functionality

These are modern-day solutions to time-crunch and limitations of knowledge. This magic is extended to all, authorized with personal control, and saves from the troubles of coding and programming. What’s more, these empower you to spur on your creativity.

APPearance is reality: Apps can be made without coding

In that same vein, apps require no coding as well. Such is the case with web products as well. Rightly said, the future of coding is ‘no code.’ In place of an elaborate coding system, simple tools have been in the frontline that acts as resources and solutions for a multitude of problems. Gamesalad, for example, can be used to build game apps without coding.

There are myriad platforms where apps can be built from scratch, without having to learn any programming languages.

Content is king in marketing

Photoshop, unanimously accepted, is extremely powerful editing software. Notwithstanding its popularity, there are relatively fewer people who know their way around the console of such outrageously complex icons.

Well, alternative options are what this century is made up of, be it renewable energy sources or simply, editors. For instance, Canva precludes the need for having experience in design technology. So, be it an e-commerce firm looking to create infographics or an influencer seeking immaculate posters, everybody’s needs are attended to.

No-code premises, thus, undertake app development without having to deal with programming. Easy drag and drop sequence. No long hours of coding.

AR is the change: Look beyond, not back

The term ‘Augmented Reality’ was coined by Tom Caudell and David Mizzel, both Boeing aircraft researchers in 1990. Soon industrial application was taken over by a much broader entrepreneurial use. The turn of the millennium carried forth a humongous rise in the adoption and application of AR by businesses, for various purposes.

In AR, we perceive an expanded version of our world, supplemented by digital information and objects to our mode of view.

To enable this, AR developers need to have a fair idea of 3D modeling and scanning, 360° photos and videos, 3D gaming idea, and a bit of geometry. Not merely these, they need to be real authorities on programming languages and software development kits (SDKs). Machine learning, a knack for data analysis, and knowledge on virtual app development tools can make a dandy AR developer.

To tame such technology, one needs to flex a lot of muscles.

For commoners, who want to partake in the delights of AR experience and want something completely of their own, what shall they do?

That’s where Superfan comes in, with its ‘studio’ of AR solutions. For every sector and everyone.

Similar echoes can be heard in Tom Emrich’s blog for the 8th Wall which is based on this radical usage of AR. It borders on one motto- ‘AR is for everyone.’

How AR can flow through masses, how well can it be imbibed by people, how succinctly it can be used, without having to deal with intricate technological mastery, is what resonates now.

Superfan brings that change to you, where you can completely immerse yourself in the magical realm of AR. You don’t have to lean back on pillars of technological proficiency.

Now, you can transgress all existing modes of branding, advertising, or simply, personal gratification. You can enter a new zone of reality, where the traditional mode of communication experiences a complete reversal. Whatever you imagine and desire to visualize you shall get that, without having to worry about Java, Adobe Aero, 3D-graphics, and whatnots.

Reap the richness of Augmented Reality, revel in its raw potential, and respond to the transitions of time.

Our reality is not complete without Augmented Reality
