We’re pleased to announce that Halborn, an award-winning blockchain cybersecurity firm, successfully completed an in-depth third-party audit of Superfluid Protocol’s core smart contracts. This audit — in addition to our Bug Bounty program with Immunefi and additional smart contract audits from other industry leading cybersecurity firms — is part of our multipronged approach to securing Superfluid Protocol. Halborn’s audit found that there were no security vulnerabilities in Superfluid Protocol.

Halborn’s Smart Contract Audit Methodology

Halborn performed a combination of manual and automated security testing to balance efficiency, timeliness, practicality, and accuracy in regard to the scope of this audit. While manual testing is recommended to uncover flaws in logic, process, and implementation; automated testing techniques help enhance coverage of the bridge code and can quickly identify items that do not follow security best practices.

The purpose of this audit was to:

  • Ensure that smart contract functions operate as intended,
  • Identify potential security issues with the smart contracts,
  • Correct possible code flaws,
  • Improve the code structure and overall robustness of the protocol

In summary, Halborn did not detect any security vulnerabilities in Superfluid Protocol, while they made suggestions to minimize programming waste. These additional suggestions have no security implications, and will be addressed in the next round of the repo’s code cleanup.

Securing the Future of Real-Time Finance

The completion of the Halborn audit is one of the many steps we’re taking to strengthen the security of Superfluid Protocol, and by extension the emerging real-time finance ecosystem. We look forward to continuing to implement best-in-class security measures that support the integrity, reliability, and availability of Superfluid Protocol’s codebase so that builders can continue to push the boundaries of digital money.
