First-Ever SuperRare | DADA.art Collaboration
We’re excited to announce a collaboration with digital art collective DADA.art for the Late Tate event on November 29 at Tate Modern, presented by MoCDA, the Museum of Contemporary Digital Art.
The event is focused around Nam June Paik’s retrospective at Tate, and will feature several talks and experimental art performances, including a live drawing performance by the DADA Collective, which will create a collaborative visual conversation for the occasion from 6 pm to 10 pm, London time.
DADA will also be making tokenized artworks of the performance available for the first time on SuperRare after the TATE event– and some for a very limited giveaway only for attendees at the event. (To get one, find Judy from DADA in the crowd and ask her about tokenized DADA art ASAP! 😎)
Additionally, artworks created during the live drawing performance will be tokenized and available for bidding on SuperRare the next day. This marks the first time that artworks will be created inside a world-class art museum, and made available for collectors to bid on across the globe.
Also speaking at the event is Robbie Barrat, the first-ever artist to join and sell digital works on SuperRare. Robbie is a pioneer in the field of GAN art, and was featured at the last SuperRare event in London, when 300 attendees of a Christie’s event each received a SuperRare work of Robbie’s.
Speaking of GANs, DADA is debuting the DADAGAN, a bot that learns to draw from DADA’s drawings, a collaboration with roboticist Alex Reben. And speaking of SuperRare artists, Ophelia Fu and Ilan Katin will be at the Tate in person leading the interactive drawing with the public.
