POW! WOW! HAWAII! 2016

Existing in a place called Kaka’ako — Honolulu, Hawaii’s Art District — is an ever evolving street art festival and visual paradise that is fed by the best artists in the world known as POW! WOW! HAWAII!

The week long event encompasses gallery shows, lecture series, schools for art and music, concerts and a sense of grandiose excitement for the participants and inhabitants who more often than not end up becoming incredibly close friends through the week’s adventures.

I was lucky enough to be there for a second time, experiencing the work created and also relish in the aforementioned adventures and friendships. It is an experience like no other and, I believe, one of the most important things happening in the art world right now.
