The SUP Token
The SUP Token is a utility token with multiple uses within the Supload ecosystem on launch day.
We believe we’re at the earliest stages of seeing a massive boom of companies and applications using blockchain tokenization within their products and services. Tokens are going to be applied to all types of assets; just some possibilities are unique digital video game items, social networks, real estate, and personal identity.
Supload is one of the first to apply this new technology with an existing and functional product. It will be immediately usable within that product once the token is created and available in to the public on July 30th, 2018
The Token
The SUP token is built on the Ethereum blockchain and conforms to the ERC-223 token standard. This standard has a a few advantages over the most common token type ICO’s are based on, ERC0-20. The most important being the ability to reject and return a coin if the Ethereum wallet the tokens are sent to is not aware of the Ethereum smart contract that the tokens originated from. Millions of dollars have been lost in other ICO’s due to coins being locked in misconfigured Ethereum wallets. The ERC-223 standard will allow us to have a much safer and more successful token sale.
The Utility
On launch day (July 30th) users will have three primary uses for the coin in the Supload ecosystem. With more token features coming after launch. We want to create a community around our site and token, and give holders of our token an incentive to continue to hold.
User Levels and Badges
Supload users will have badges next to their avatars throughout the site. The initial levels will be 1 through 5 depending on the amount of tokens you are holding in your Ethereum wallet. This badge will be visible wherever your avatar is shown on the site. Future levels and badges will come later, but for now, anything over 1000 tokens held in your wallet will give you a level 5 badge. We hope our userbase adopts these badges as a competitive and unique way to highlight their presence on Supload.. We have plans for also turning these badges into exchangeable ERC-721 items on the Ethereum blockchain in the future.
Hold More, Earn More
When you enter in a ERC-20 compatible wallet address in your Supload dashboard, we’ll use that address to monitor the amount of tokens in that wallet in realtime. The more tokens you have, the more USD you’ll earn on Supload per 1000 views that your uploaded content generates. That USD is then able to be withdrawn from the site in the form of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum or SUP tokens.
The Leaderboard
The leaderboard on Supload is a collection of posts by the largest token holders. Thumbnails of those users last 10–20 most popular posts will be visible. This will drive traffic and views to those that are at the top of the leaderboard.
The top token holders on the leaderboard will also have their top posts dispersed within every 10 rows when browsing the newest and popular thumbnail pages.
Hold More, Upload More
In continuing to reward our largest token holders, we want to see them thrive in our ecosystem. However, we also want new users to be able to approach the site, and be able to interact with Supload immediately after signup. To do this, we see our token as a reputation system that gives advantages to those who interact with the site more; users will be able to unlock more uploads per day depending on their level.
The Token Airdrop
Our airdrop will start on July 26th, 2018. You will be able to receive your airdrop coins from your Supload dashboard with a new Supload signup, or your already existing account.
