Along the “Unpacking of Supplier Innovation”, I have realised that Trust is the fundamental and most important aspect of supplier-customer relationships and one of the central topics of the research project.

In one of my recent conversations with experts and leaders in the space, Anoop Nathwani shared with me the “Trustworthiness Formula”.

  • Credibility are the words we speak
  • Reliability are the actions we take.
  • Intimacy is the sense of safety we feel when we trust someone.
  • Self-orientation or self-interest is the idea of focusing on ourselves vs others.

It is interesting to see what the effect on the equation is if we increase or decrease self-orientation…

Thanks Anoop for this valuable insight on trust. The equation definetly gives a new and clearer perspective on SC&I.
