MLS in Austin’s Statement on CM Pool’s Meeting in Columbus

Austin, Texas — Members and leadership of MLS in Austin have been ready and willing to meet with every Council Member over the last nine months. It was surprising news to hear today that Leslie Pool has chosen to fly to Columbus to meet with soccer fans there, while not responding to our entreaties for her to talk to soccer-supporting residents in her district in the city she represents as an elected official.

We stand ready today to talk at any time to any Council Member interested in hearing what we know soccer can do for our city.

MLS in Austin Supporters Group is an Austin, Texas 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2013, whose mission is to bring a Major League Soccer franchise to Austin, Texas and ensure the support for building a marquee entertainment, events, and sports stadium where they would play.
