A lot of location diversity this month, but the United States still leads the pack in terms of venture capital raises in the SMB space.

Thoughts of the Month

It was a busy month in SMB SaaS with almost double the deal flow of what we have seen in the prior two months. As always, back office solutions and vertical specific solutions seem to dominate the SMB SaaS space.

We are seeing a number of real estate SaaS platforms for brokerages and property managers. This is an extremely fragmented market. It’s not surprising that there is not yet an industry leader in the space.

The second most frequently funded vertical is health practitioners, which are still predominantly reliant on paper files to track their clients.

As we continue to track SMB SaaS raises, we will provide updates every month. Every year, SurePath publishes a report on the State of SMB, be sure to subscribe to our mailing list.

At SurePath Capital Partners we help startups raise the capital needed to become market leaders. When the time is right, we help our clients achieve profitable, deliberate exit strategies. We only work with startups in the SaaS, e-commerce and marketplace segments. Across those segments we have a deep focus on companies serving the global SMB market. Say hello:info@surepathcapital.com
