RMT Token Swap
Dear all,
We’ve finalized the process for the Token Swap. Thank you for your patience! It took us a little longer, we wanted to make sure that the process was smooth and as safe as possible. Please read below instructions and follow the steps:
BEFORE CONTINUING WITH BELOW STEPS: if you’ve already accepted the trust line for the new RMT, please remove it and accept it again. We had to make an adjustment.
STEP 1: Create new Stellar Wallet (only for old RMT)
Create a new Stellar wallet, please make sure that you send enough XLM (minimum 2 XLM) to this new wallet and that you accept the trust line of the ‘OLD’ RMT for this new wallet. Then send (ONLY!!) your RMT tokens to this wallet.
Why this step? Doing a token swap requires the Secret Key of an account. We decided on this step as this will eliminate any possible visibility and risk to your other funds. It’s an extra security layer. (You can skip this step and enter the Secret Key of your current wallet in Step 2, because your secret key is not stored and we do not have access to your funds. However, SureRemit will not take any responsibility for transfers of your assets before, during or after the swap.)
STEP 2: Go to Swap Link
Follow this link: https://swap.sureremit.co and put in the Secret Key of your NEWLY-created wallet containing only the old RMT Tokens.
Why this step? The moment you put in the Secret Key your old RMT tokens are immediately burned and new RMT tokens are added to the wallet. The trust line for the new RMT token is automatically created.
STEP 3: Accept and send the new RMT to original wallet
Accept the trust line of the new RMT token in your original wallet. Send the new RMT tokens from the newly-created wallet to your original wallet.
Process is complete!
F.A.Q. Token Swap RMT
Q: Why is it necessary to do a Token Swap?
A: We’ll be swapping the RMT with a new one to make sure that discoverability of the token on decentralized exchanges will not be in issue in the future. The home domain in a specific file is used for auto-verification of assets on these exchanges, and while it’s absence is not a major problem now, it could be significant in the future when such exchanges gain more prominence.
Q: How can I swap my ‘old’ RMT tokens for new RMT tokens?
A: Please follow the instructions explained above.

Q: How does this token swap affect trading of the old and new RMT?
A: Token swap does not affect trading of old and new RMT. Old RMT will simply be exchangeable for new RMT in a 1:1 ratio.
Q: Is there a time limit for the token swap?
A: As of now there is no time limit to swap your old tokens for new RMT. The swap link https://swap.sureremit.co will be available for an indefinite period until the situation requires otherwise.
Q: When will the full App release take place?
A: The app will be released when a good majority of old RMT holders have completed the swap.
Q: Will this token swap impact SureRemit’s roadmap and goals?
A: No, it will not.
