Fantasy Surfer Projections

We now announce that FST will start 2017 with projections for the game Fantasy Surfer from Surfer Magazine. The calculation model we built last year is going to be used as a base, and it will be adjusted throughout 2017 to match the specific game rules.

The key point with this projection is that we lack the historical data of the surfer’s price. Our model is not well fitted for this variable (which is a very important variable). So we took the decision to start the projections indicating the super 8 surfers for the men’s event and the super 4 for the women’s event. Yes! We will project the picks as if the price of the surfer did not exist. It’s a dream for the fantasy players.

Would you perform better if you could choose your best eight surfers in the men’s event? How much would the best team based on stats cost? How many points would this team make? All those questions will be answered this year.

By the end of the year we expect to have the projections ready, considering surfers price and other specific rules. Following this objective we hope to amaze the crowd with this new super projection.
