Prediction results for 2016
This was a great season for Fantasy Surfing Tips. We are proud of our results and will share with you
We started the year with a clear objective in mind: build several calculation versions to predict the surfers performance prior to an event. The calculation would project a team to play on the WSL Fantasy Game.
In the beginning we were skeptical, because the first three versions didn't played well on the Australian leg. We kept on going, but the event at rio had several upsets, it was tough to predict. On J-Bay we launched our fifth version and everything changed. When we realized how well it could play based on prior results, we started to forecast some great numbers.
Our best calculation would have achieved the 6º place on the overall, while our worst calculation only 21,333º. We are really focused and eager to start the next season, as we will begin it with a steady model. The first version is ready and we will create a 2.0 version with a different logic on next season.
Will we achieve a great result on 2017? Next year we will answer this question. From now, you can check the position of all our calculations below.
Overall position on Fantasy
- 1º Entrando de borda 6,463.72
- 2º Nick’s Picks 6,415.39
- 3º Dane’s Picks 6,407.15
Our best version was the v1.7 and it could have achieved 6339.89 points
- 10º Radamson’s Rodeos 6,302.73
In the top 50th mark we have the v1.5 with 6205.64 points
- 50º JAYCE’s Picks 6,156.77
Two versions got really close and achieved a top 100º mark, which we still believe is amazing. V1.8 with 6125.44 and v1.4 with 6125.32
- 100º Ana’s Picks 6,103.71
- 1,000 Andre’s Team 5,905.47
Now we start to see the low rates. Two versions got on top 10,000º, at least they got above the 5kº mark. v1.3 with 5875.34 and v1.2 with 5871.01
- 10,000º Mathijs’s Picks 5,486.50
And now we have our worst calculation version v1.2 made only 5058.84 points.
- 22,000º saltwater 5,027.57
Heads up to the 2017 season!
