This summer, I got an opportunity to experience the east coast and it was an experience that I would not be forgetting for a while. Here are some of the highlights from my trip.

First Stop — My Office HQ in Natick, Massachusetts

I have been working for a company named MathWorks for just shy of two years now and I have been working from one of their remote office in California. I haven’t got a chance to meet my manager in person during this time, could you imagine? This was about to change when I got a chance to fly to my company’s HQ for a summer outing this year. It was a fun filled experience meeting — my manager, folks from upper management and my extended team. The experience of being in a HQ is just something not explainable. They have free food, everyone gets a office cabin and the amenities were endless. I couldn’t stop awing at the all the amazing things the place had to offer. Here are a few pictures from the amazing office!

Second Stop — Into the woods in New Hampshire

This was my first time visiting the are of New England and going straight into the nature was such a pristine experience. The absolutely density of the foliage and freshness in the air was just unparalleled. It was also because of the never ending rains this place seems to receive even in the summer. Unlike California, which seems to be just drought prone most of the year around. Even though I like my California. It was a change of environment and I had such a great time exploring the space. The highlight of the trip was hiking at the top of Mt. Washington and the different scenic variations to experience during the entire time.

Third Stop — The character of Boston

A small part of this trip was exploring the city of Boston. And oh hey, I had such a blast exploring the city. The city is filled with such a niche character — with it’s European Architecture, bustling downtown, it’s endless famous universities — MIT, Harvard was just mind blowing and the entire jazz scene in the city was spectacular. Would you believe every small bar in the city had a live R&B or Jazz band casually playing fantastic music. Here is a sneak peak into it —

Fourth Journey — Road Trip from Boston To New Jersey

The rest of this trip was planned to be spent along with my family in New Jersey. I was going to visit my sister’s family and my parent’s and my nephew, and I was thrilled to say the least. The road trip was a nice experience with a few pit stops along the way in Providence, Rhode Island and New Haven, Connecticut. I got a chance to glimpse at the RISD — Rhode Island School of Design, take cook breathers on the cute downtown of Providence and experience the traffic similar to LA in New Haven!

Final Stop — Niagara Falls and Geneva, New York

The final leg of the trip was an experience to probably the most touristy place on earth — Niagar Falls. But it was an experience that was memorable for more than a few reasons. The absolute scale of the Niagara falls is unfathomable in words, it’s something one experiences. Even though the sun and the crowd can question you very reason to have taken the time to visit. But that was not it, another beautiful experience during this trip was the Watkin’s Glen State Park near Geneva. It is probably one of the most unique places I have visited in a while. The George Trail was filled with scenic water springs throughout and the stone carvings around the trail was a sight to behold. Maybe the pictures can do justice to the experience —

Overall, the places I visited. The people I got to meet and the time I got to spend with friends and family, made this summer travel a really memorable experience for me. I come back with lots of memories and miss a lot of the amazing experiences I had during my time here. Until next adventures, adiós!
