How To Take Care of Yourself During Event Planning
Throwing an event is tough on your mind and your body. We’re going to show you four tips to get you get through it!
#1) Checklist
Creating a checklist with all of your tasks will help you stay organize and prioritize what needs to be done first. Write all the things that have to get done, include every single task big or small.
From there, break down your tasks by dividing them up by days. We suggest giving each tasks deadlines.
#2) Hire Your A Team
Surround yourself with people who know what they’re doing. If you can’t do it, hire it. Are you worried that your guests will be bored? Hire entertainment. Worried that no one will show up? Hire SURKUS to fill up the space with your ideal crowd. Do you have food + drinks? Hire someone to take care of that!
The more hands you have that can help the more time you have to make sure other things get done.
#3) Block Time To Relax
This one is an odd one because you’re on a time crunch and there are more tasks and things to get done than the actual time you have to do them. Blocking out time to relax will help you not lose your shit, to put it in a nice way. Your body can have time to recover and you’ll have more energy to tackle tasks + solve problems as they come up then feel burnt out. Don’t jeopardize your health or the quality of your work because you’re burnt out and sick. We don’t have time for that!
#4) Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff
Unexpected things and issues will come up. That’s life. You got to roll with the punches. Try to stay focus and not sweat all the small stuff and let it affect your mood or vision of the final production.
Just have fun and remember they’ll be another one.
