OST⍺3 Weekly Update #1 — Surwei

Surwei is a platform that allows anyone to easily create surveys / forms requesting information from their users and reward them with SWEI tokens that can be used to purchase items, exchanged or used to create new surveys.

1. Progress done

After finding out about OST⍺3 I only had a couple of days to come up with a concept and start working on it. The landing page is up (http://surwei.herokuapp.com/) and the overall feel of the application is defined. SWEI token is created and I’ve already started experimenting with the ruby gem for OST (https://github.com/OpenSTFoundation/ost-sdk-ruby).

2. Lessons learned and issues

It was interesting to think about the economics behind the creation of a token, actions that could be performed and minting. The on-boarding process was very well defined with articles explaining every phase which helped a lot when starting out.

3. Plans for next week

Model the application, create users with the ability to authenticate, surveys creation with two types of input fields (text and dropdown) and make the first transactions to reward users for signing up.
