Welcoming Sheila Tran to Susa Ventures

We’re excited to welcome Sheila Tran as Susa Ventures’ first Head of Marketing and Platform. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, Sheila brings a wealth of expertise to our team, having navigated significant growth and pivotal moments at both startups and public companies.

Most recently, she served as the Chief Communications Officer at Opendoor, a real estate tech platform, where she led the communications strategy during a critical period of growth and market shift, including the company’s IPO. Prior to that, Sheila headed global communications at Yahoo and Polyvore, showing her ability to drive marketing strategies across different tech environments.

In addition to her corporate experience, Sheila has been an active angel investor in companies like Midi Health, Bay FC and Kindred and an LP in a few funds. Her deep involvement in the startup ecosystem gives her a unique perspective on the challenges founders face.

At Susa, Sheila will lead our marketing efforts and enhance our platform offerings, providing valuable resources and strategic support to our portfolio companies. We’re excited to leverage her unique experience across corporate, startup, and investing worlds as we expand our impact. Her expertise in high-growth environments and public markets will be a valuable asset as we continue to support founders building category-defining companies.
