WHAT: A youth-led press conference highlighting indigenous youth leaders from around the world who have come together with a clear message: “As young indigenous people we feel the weight of climate change on our shoulders. As indigenous people we hold the solutions.”

WHY: Friday, December 7th is the Indigenous Peoples’ Day of COP24. It is also one of the last days of negotiating the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples’ Platform (LCIPP). This group of youth comes together to display the growing tide of young people with indigenous values at heart and a strong desire for climate justice. At this press conference, they will present their key messages for negotiators at the end of the first week of COP24.
