Since the beginning of 2020, to the say the Decentralized Finance ecosystem has boomed, would be the understatement of the year. The main reason why De-Fi can produce such wide swathe upward momentum is purely due to meeting real needs. We now have actual products, instead of speculatory promises, that could change the world. It’s our opinion, and that of many others, that it has just begun to crawl.

Uniswap provides a realistic pricing mechanism for long-tail assets by simplifying the market-making model through decentralized lending. Compound has created a basic production model for basic financial assets; the curve, which focuses on stable currency exchanges. They have created a different approach. The compound financial product model of “Lending + LP” has enabled the establishment of DeFi’s financial attributes. Yearn.Finance has integrated active investment and lending through liquidity mining, and a very clear decentralized map has been presented in the market.

The outbreak of DeFi has already greatly promoted the progress of blockchain applications, in term of potential. However, with the continuous expansion of DeFi user groups, the problem of privacy protection of financial asset transaction information has become increasingly troublesome. Significant privacy protection as the last piece of the DeFi ecology must be at the forefront of our thoughts. Suterusu is based on the original ZK-conSNARK zero-knowledge proof protocol, which is more secure without credible presets, supports smart contracts and can be expanded, and will play an important role in the DeFi ecosystem. SuterVM, the original SuterVM created by Suterusu, will be launched in a test version recently. The main module, Suter Bridge Alpha, will realize a cross-chain transfer of the Ethereum and Tron ecoystems. This will provide a technical bridge for the Ethereum ecology alongside Tron’s DeFi traffic aggregation, and also open up new applications for SUTER in the blockchain space.

What is Suter Bridge Alpha?

Suter Bridge Alpha implements cross-chain transfers based on contracts and scripts, and also can optionally implement anonymous transfers.

The Suter Bridge Alpha system sets up two roles, asset custodian and merchant, who work together to ensure fast cross-chain transfer of user assets. Users implement cross-chain transfers based on SBA, which mainly include two processes: forging & redemption. Taking SUTER to a cross-chain transfer level as an example, users use their own erc20 standard SUTER and the merchant’s trc20 standard tSUTER to exchange. The user then gets tSUTER, the merchant obtains SUTER, and the merchant transfers the SUTER held to the asset custodian. If the user wants to exchange the tSUTER held for SUTER, the merchant will also be selected for the transaction, and the merchant obtains tSUTER while transferring it to the asset custodian for burning. The basic process is shown in the figure below:

In the process of token minting, transfer and burn, the Suter anonymous payment protocol will be called to ensure transaction confidentiality and user privacy. This is paramount. Since the exchange process of SUTER held by users and tSUTER tokens held by merchants requires the implementation of an anonymous atomic exchange protocol, the anonymous multi-hop lock (AMHL) technology proposed in the white-paper can be used to ensure process privacy.

Suter Bridge Alpha’s Prominent Importance

Suter Bridge Alpha will integrate the communities of Ethereum and Tron into the SUTER ecosystem at the same time. This will enable the SUTER ecosystem to share low rates, efficient transfers, and multiple assets at the same time. We think this will greatly improve the scope of SuterVM, and enable the positioning of the Suterusu DeFi ecological universal privacy plug-in .

Suter Bridge Alpha will help Suterusu realize the output of privacy protection function, provide richer usage scenarios for Suterusu as an investment itself, and directly increase the demand for SUTER. Speculative use-cases aside, we’re crossing the threshold into unknown territory for this market, and the ripple effect of not taking privacy seriously in the De-Fi space will be tragic indeed. With bigger and more wide-spread hacking attempts as TVL booms, we feel the market must act, now, and we’re well positioned to be the main player do it. This will be a small step for SuterVM, and a big step for Suterusu’s ecology.
