Four months back, we decided to try out a new way of helping student developers build internet products while in college with the footing of a job guarantee in premium product startups in India. We assumed that students would be peacefully able to try out an alternate learning method alongside their demanding academic schedule if a job guarantee was given.

We opened up a coding challenge, one that was in tune with the times. However, we’ve had disappointing results in terms of students who have attempted and qualified our coding challenge. That has forced us to go back to the drawing board and reflect. We have had to make the following decision as a consequence.

We are indefinitely suspending the commencement of the batch of SV.CO School of Internet Products.

At SV.CO we are committed to adding value to all students through our programmes. We will be unable to sustainably run a batch since the number of qualified students is extremely low. Hence, after a lot of thought and discussions, we have decided not to go ahead with the current batch that was scheduled to start on March 15th.

However, at this juncture, we would also like to inform you that SV.CO has partnered with Facebook on School of Innovation. The first program under this school is on VR (Virtual Reality) and the program will commence in August 2018. The teams that are selected for the program will be given a full scholarship. In case you are keen on exploring this opportunity and applying for the same, do refer www.sv.co/fb.

You can also reach out to us by sending a mail to help@sv.co.

P.S. What becomes of students who took the effort to make coding submissions?

All those who submitted their entries for the coding challenges are eligible for special benefits and mentoring from SV.CO founders. There’s also a special invite-only event we want you to be part of in Bangalore, we’ll let you know the details in person :-)
