From SWA to SWACE
If you read our newest blog post, you will know that those of you who participated in our 2018 Swace bounty campaign will be able to swap your old SWA tokens for our newly created SWACE tokens.
Not only is this part of our legal and financial obligation to you, our community, it will also allow you to engage with the newly developed Swace app, which we are more than excited to launch later in the year after we complete our Initial Exchange Offering (IEO).
However, before you receive your shiny new SWACE tokens, we really urge you to read the following article, which will take you step-by-step through the conversion process from SWA to SWACE.
What you need to know
To begin with, we would like to stress that the value of 1SWA is the same as 1SWACE token. This means that you will only receive the amount of SWACE that is directly proportional to the amount of SWA you received from us in your Ethereum (ERC20) bounty wallet. This figure will not exceed the amount of SWA tokens set during the bounty.
Get your documents ready
One of the biggest differences between SWA and SWACE, is that the new token is built around investor protection. Unlike an ICO-issued utility, a token from an IEO requires holders to pass KYC/AML procedures to verify their identity in order to prevent fraud. A token issued through an IEO is also legally recognised as a utility by a regulatory financial institution — in SWACE’s case, this institution is Lietuvos Bankas (the National Bank of Lithuania), which falls under the jurisdiction of the European Central Bank.
To begin the KYC/AML process and take the first steps towards getting your new SWACE tokens, then you will need to provide a government-issued ID with your first name(s) and surname. Ideally, this will be a passport or a citizen’s identification card. In-line with full legal compliance, driving licences or student cards will not be accepted.
You will be required to give the address of the ERC20 wallet where your SWA were deposited. You will also need to have proof that you took part in the bounty campaign, evidence of the amount of tokens you were issued for your work, and the date you obtained them. You can do this by providing the URL to your Etherscan wallet.
Sending us your ID and proof of token receipt
At this point, you have your proof of ID as well as evidence that you were a SWA token holder and took part in the bounty campaign. Great! Now all you need to do is send this information directly to us at swace@swace.io (add your erc20) wallet in the subject line) We will then let you know ASAP if you have passed the KYC/AML procedures you need in order to receive your new SWACE, which will be deposited into your original ERC20 wallet.
What else do you need to know?
Unfortunately, if you fail to submit the correct documentation outlined above, you will not be reimbursed for your old SWA tokens. This rule also applies if you did not pass our KYC/AML procedures. Furthermore, we will only swap the SWA tokens that were deposited directly to the original ERC20 wallet for participation in a bounty program.
It is worth noting that the SWA token bounty contract has a six-month vesting period with a zero cliff. In the meantime, you are more than welcome to take a look into our vesting contract right here on Etherscan.
Finally, we urge you to send your KYC/AML documents to us ASAP in order to not miss out being part of the redeveloped Swace app.
