Swapr Beta V16

Bridging the Gap with Swapr Beta V16

What’s new, what’s improved and how does it benefit you.

Swapr Beta V16

Creating a good user experience is often seen as the biggest obstacle faced by dapps and also touted as the major hurdle to mass adoption of all things web3. Navigating the choppy waters of the blockchain world’s dapps, protocols and products can be tedious for even the most experienced user. With the many steps involved in moving from token to token and chain to chain, one can easily understand a more inexperienced user can become easily overwhelmed.

The Swapr team has long strived to bridge the gap between web2’s simplicity and web3’s safety and security. If you have not yet had the pleasure of using Swapr, treat yourself and dive in right after this. Experience a web3 dapp built with user experience at the forefront of its design firsthand. It could easily be said that Swapr is one of the most user friendly and safest DEXs on the market. Being decentralized from front end to back end, Swapr allows you to easily swap, bridge and provide liquidity. Additionally, if you are a holder of $SWPR token, you will soon be able to participate in governance, all from the comfort of the Swapr front-end.

Before we dive into the release of Beta V16 and see what the Swapr team has given us this time round, we would like to mention that Swapr supports multiple networks, namely: Ethereum, Gnosis Chain, Arbitrum, Polygon and Optimism with more networks to come. If you have a preference of which network you want the Swapr team to add next, or any other features you would like to see added in the future, please visit our canny.io account here and let us know.

Now, let’s dive into the update!

Swapr Beta V16

First up: Bridge Swap

Swapr’s Bridge Swap gives users the ability to bridge and swap, all in one transaction! This new feature eliminates the need for using different dapps or performing multiple transactions within the same dapp. This helps avoid a sub-par user experience and decreases the risk of user error. By providing users the ability to swap and bridge in the same transaction, Swapr is delivering a user experience rooted in ease of use, trust and privacy. The infrastructure in the backend, that enables this in Swapr, is Socket Tech’s interoperability protocol for cross-chain data and asset transfers. Moving from chain to chain and swapping from token to token has never been easier or safer. Bridge Swap is available to choose as an option right in the swap box.

Next up: Optimism Eco router Support

Swapr’s eco router has long been a favorite when swapping. The eco router gives users the exact same price they could find on any of the most popular and liquid AMMs out there. Better yet, it does this without requiring any additional fees or making the user leave the Swapr front-end.

What could be better? Added Optimism support. In Beta V16, the team has done exactly that, and has added support for the very popular and growing Optimism network. With the popularity of Optimism, the Swapr team is hard at work adding other dexes from the ecosystem to the eco router, and we will most likely see more and more added in upcoming releases. Swapr is now home to some of the most popular networks, and we welcome Optimism users to the Swapr community with open arms.

In case you missed it, with the release of Beta V15, Swapr integrated CoW Protocol, and users now have the option to enjoy full MEV protection, eliminating the risks of being sandwiched or front-run, all from within the Swapr front-end.

Last, but not least: User Dashboard

The Swapr team understands that trust is a vital ingredient in the relationship between Swapr and the greater Swapr community. With the introduction of Bridge Swap, the team wanted to give users the ability to see the multiple transactions that would occur during this process. With their focus on UX, they also wanted to present this information in one place. The new User Dashboard is the answer to that need.

Users can now see all completed transactions with the option of toggling “Pending Transactions’’ to see those as well. Lastly, by toggling “All Networks’’ users can also see all transactions performed across all of Swapr’s supported networks. To access your dashboard, simply click on your wallet, visible on the top right hand corner of the Swapr dapp.

In the future, users can look forward to more filters, a governance section, reward claiming options and more! The Swapr team aims to bring all your actions in Swapr to the Dashboard.

What’s on the horizon?

LP Zapping

Providing liquidity is a major part of the DeFi ecosystem. However, not having the correct token or the correct amount of a given token can be such a hindrance to users, that they forgo providing liquidity all together. LP zapping focuses on UX, and will make this entire process of adding liquidity a single-transaction action, irrespective of whether you have both tokens or the correct amount of either! More on that in the write up of our next release.

Limit Orders with MEVProtection

Swapr will be the first DEX providing limit orders with MEV protection, but we are not going to say more about that just now! Follow our social media channels and stay tuned for our next write up where we’ll dive into the details of this very exciting new feature. Go Swapr!
