Welcome to your Swarm Fund Newsletter for December 8th, 2017.

December is here, and it is freezing in Silicon Valley — well, freezing for California that is. Hot drinks and community engagement is where Swarm is at. Last we spoke, Bitcoin was hovering at 10k, and now it’s at 18k. What’s next, you might ask?

If you’re in the Bay Area and would like to say hi to the team, we’d love to meet you. On Thursday, December 14th, our cofounder Joel Dietz is hosting a Meetup in Palo Alto, entitled How Will Blockchain Impact World Government? Join us!

Telegram

This week, we actually met in person with a Telegram community member at our offices in downtown Palo Alto. Telegram is our main public discussion, and we’re pleased it’s growing in numbers every day. It allows the Swarm Fund team to address issues across the board, from technical to promotional to philosophical, in real-time.

In early September, we shut down our Slack due to common phishing scams. We plan to set up a hosted channel for focused discussion, with both public and private access, as part of our Swarm Portal.

Token Swap

Our Token Swap process has concluded its 3rd and final round. Thank you to all the Swarm 1.0 investors that have stayed with the project and will continue to do so as we roll out our platform at the end of January 2018.

Roadmap

Our roadmap is live on our website today.

Sneak Peek of the Swarm SUN Ecosystem

We know you’ve been waiting patiently for platform news, so next week we’ll provide a shot of the UI of the Swarm SUN Ecosystem. The interface will show an Overview, Fund details, Fund Token, Updates from the fund as it progresses, and a Discussion forum for voting. Speaking of voting, read more below about the amazing team at SecureVote and what they’re up to.

Partner Spotlight:

SecureVote

Sydney, Australia

We’re proud to be partnering with the award-winning team of SecureVote in the development of the Swarm Fund Liquid Democracy Voting Module (LDVM). The LDVM is a universally applicable and decentralized voting engine which can be used for any part of the Swarm platform.

SecureVote’s mission is to ‘democratize the world’ by developing the world’s most scalable, secure, and resilient blockchain-based voting systems. The team is addressing the problems currently associated with pen and paper voting, as well as with existing digital voting methods, by taking advantage of industry leading technology and proprietary innovations of their own.

The SecureVote team is on a roll, recently winning the Cyber Security Award at the 2017 Australian Technologies Competition.

On December 7th, the team participated as a Top 3 Finalist of Best Ideas to Watch in the 2017 Talent Unleashed Competition! Selected by judges Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak in late October as Regional Finalists, SecureVote is going big with their mission.

Best of luck, team! Stay tuned for the results of the competition and more Swarm news next week.

Sincerely,

Your friends at Swarm Fund
