There is no doubt we are in the era of mobile phones. Ever since Worldwide mobile internet use surpassed desktop back in November 2016, the trend doesn’t seem to wear off. In fact, the latest study from Stonetemple.com, which we will be sharing here, shows there is a significant continuation of the shift towards mobile.

The most common stats that marketers like to talk about when pointing to their audience is the percentage of their traffic that comes from mobile devices vs. desktop computers. The importance of this is evident as it influences businesses on many points. From designing pages viewable across different screens to adjusting your ads view depending on screens and working on UX, your visitors would appreciate.

Stonetemple.com study shows faster than expected shift of web usage from desktop to mobile in past year. Mobile web traffic reached 63% of all traffic in the US. Based on that, it seems likely that it will reach a full 2/3 of all traffic by the end of 2018.

Not only that but the new study shows mobile has closed the gap with the desktop regarding total time spent on site by visitors.
