It’s early days for regulated sports betting in the US. There is debate around legislation, league participation, integrity and a variety of outcomes for key stakeholders in the gaming industry. There is, however, consensus around the need for better sports betting products for US customers. US online offerings in the short-term will blindly copy current Vegas or European applications — you know, your standard bookmaker app, a pu-pu platter of infinitely-scrolling bets. This will change quickly. Product education, differentiation and innovation will be key in order to gain and retain market share.

We at Swish built a demo sportsbook app, Props Planet (*open on your phone), that executes on some basic ideas to improve customer experience while increasing engagement, turnover and retention. This demo is powered entirely by our player props oddsmaking feeds.

The entire app is built to emphasize an easy-to-find-and-make-a-bet-from-my-phone experience.

Catering to the fantasy-savvy audience that is used to watching sports through the lens of stats and player predictions.

This app serves as a comfortable and easy-to-grasp gateway into real-money betting. Player props betting will continue to grow in popularity, especially with younger bettors who care more about individual stars than their teams.

The bet I want, at the price I want: customized, personalized lines and odds.

This is where the fun really begins. Leveraging our automated, real-time oddsmaking capabilities, we begin to flip the betting interaction and allow customers to build the exact bet they want to make for any player, bet type or line.
