Frequently Asked Questions about the SwissBorg Referendum

Here are some common questions and issues you may encounter as you participate in our Referendum.

What is the Referendum and what purpose do the RSB tokens serve?

Our Referendum is a chance for our CHSB token holders to participate in SwissBorg’s decision making the process by casting a vote and in return receiving a reward for his/her contribution thus helping us understand what our community truly wants.

The RSB token is the necessary vehicle for our CHSB token holders to be able to cast their vote on our platform.

Why do I need to vote?

Your participation in the referendum along with thousands of other CHSB holders, allows us to access the swarm intelligence of our community to make key strategic decisions in a democratic way that influences the future of the SwissBorg Platform, and we reward you in return.

How and when can I vote?

The RSB tokens will be distributed automatically (TBC) to the address in which you hold your CHSB tokens. Important: CHSB tokens held at an Exchange will not receive RSB tokens.

The voting period will start on the 4th of July at 12h CEST and run until the 11st of July at 12h CEST.

How will I be informed about upcoming referendums?

You will receive updates via our mailing if you participated in our ICO or registered afterwards. If you haven’t already, you should sign up to our newsletter: http://bit.ly/SwissBorg-newsletter

What are the transfer fees for the referendum?

RSB tokens will be sent automatically to your ERC-20 wallet address free of charge.

In order to cast your vote, your RSB tokens will have to be transferred to a SwissBorg smart contract address. This is done either through the voting interface or manually, and will require a small amount of ETH.

In general the transaction fee is around ETH 0.000420 (USD 0.20 approx). We recommend having at least 0.001 ETH in your wallet to cover transfer fees.

Does the RSB token have any value?

The purpose of the RSB token is to cast your vote on a question and receive a reward for your contribution. We do not expect RSB tokens to be listed in any exchange.

Unused RSB tokens will self-destroy after the voting period has ended. You will receive new RSB tokens for every referendum.

Can I keep my unused RSB tokens once the referendum is over?

No, unused RSB tokens will be burned once the referendum ends. We will send new RSB tokens for each referendum

Where and when will I receive my reward?

A smart contract will automatically send you the reward tokens to the same address from which you casted the vote, after receiving your vote.

Please allow some time for the reward to arrive and check your address in etherscan.io to see if you have received it.

Will I be able to receive RSB tokens if my CHSB tokens are stored in my exchange’s account?

Unfortunately, no. To be able to receive your RSB tokens you must hold your CHSB tokens in a Ethereum Native Wallet that you control and own the private keys to.

Why MetaMask? Is there an alternative?

MetaMask is a browser-compatible interface that allows you to interact with the Ethereum network and can be downloaded as an extension for Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Brave.

MetaMask is needed for logging in to our voting platform and it makes it easy to cast your vote.

Any ERC-20 wallet can be added to MetaMask as long as you have the private key.

Alternatively, you can follow this guide (link coming soon) to cast your vote making the transfers manually.

What happens if I don’t vote?

Your opinion will not be counted towards the referendum, and you will not receive a reward in this referendum. RSB tokens not used in this referendum will be burned when the referendum ends, thus disappearing from your Ethereum Native Wallet.

Not voting in this referendum does not exclude you from participating in future referendums.

What are the supported wallets to receive RSB tokens and vote?

To receive RSB tokens and vote you must hold your CHSB tokens in your own ERC-20 compatible wallet to which you have access to the private keys.

I have not received my RSB tokens.

Distribution of the RSB tokens will start on the 1st of July 2018, and might take up to three days after that for your tokens to appear in your account.

Please check your wallet address on etherscan.io under the “Tokens” tab to see if you have received them. Tokens might not be visible in your wallet unless you add the custom token details.

If you did not hold CHSB tokens in your own private wallet during the 1st of July, then you will not receive RSB tokens.
