Meet the SwissBorg Team
Carlos G Cabrera is an International Economist with a degree from Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Florida. In 1998, he joined a fast-growing import-export company in Venezuela where he acquired extensive experience about the import-export sector and private equity deals in LATAM, in 2009 after receiving his MBA from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida, he began work as a broker-dealer in sovereign bonds and munis in Boca Raton and went on to serve as a financial consultant at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Toronto, Canada, where he received many awards in his five years of tenure. Also, he was part of the United Way initiatives in Toronto.
Carlos has always been an engaged advocate of an organized society therefore, he has volunteered many times at the West Palm Beach Police department and the West Palm Beach Courthouse resulting in budget savings for local residents and a learning opportunity for him about local Florida issues. He was part of Egla Communications as Senior Project Manager, in 2018 he joined SwissBorg as Director of Business Development for North America.
Carlos joined Swiss Borg, because “from the beginning, it was a project that made absolute sense to me as a finance person. It is a plan that is executed in concrete with solid steps towards creating a unique On and Off-chain wallet. Above all, I believe that the team is full of committed, experienced and passionate people, a key ingredient of any pioneering company.”
Carlos’ role, at SwissBorg in Toronto, entails capital raising, North American business strategies, brand management, and engagement in meetups and networking events. He will also be involved in financial engineering in our future plans as needed and when the time is right. An engaged community member and with a penchant for new ways of doing finance Carlos fits perfectly the SwissBorg vision of a world of finance where community engagement and meritocracy are paramount.
