Meet Dr. Otilia Gudana: SwissBorg’s Passionate Community Manager
Otilia Gudana was born in the forests of Transylvania. An only child, she was eager to move and explore the world on her own. She attended boarding school and university in Bucharest, spending her fifth year of college in Ingolstadt Germany where she learned German. After her bachelor’s degree, she completed her medical residency in psychosomatic medicine and behavioral therapy.
Dr. Gudana returned to Germany where she worked as a psychotherapist and head of the Internal Medicine Department at the Michael-Balint Clinic. Always a ‘people person’ her studies and work aimed at understanding people and how they really feel. She worked with patients who suffered from a myriad of disorders such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Otilia, also, took a course on how to detect lies and read people’s expressions.
At the early age of twelve, the multilingual Otilia became a moderator for a local Hungarian chat site, revealing and strengthening her knack for interacting with large numbers of people and building community. This ease of interaction and empathy for others was reflected in her work at the clinic where, besides her duties as a doctor, she had to coordinate and cater to the urgent needs of many, often coordinating patients with doctors and services.
Having seen and been impressed by Cyrus Fazel and Anthony Lesoismier’s video promotion for SwissBorg, Otilia became a token holder and an active member of our Telegram channel, “I believed in Cyrus and Anthony’s vision and felt an immediate connection.” Her boundless energy and optimism prompted our founders to ask her to join SwissBorg to liaise between our large community and our growing team.
As the SwissBorg Community Manager, Otilia has successfully moved the conversation from our Telegram channel to our Reddit page which allows for more in-depth discussion of ideas and suggestions. She is engaged in growth hacking and in the daily updating of the community on the Telegram channel.
At SwissBorg Dr. Gudana brings her love of community, knowledge of the human psyche, and enormous enthusiasm for the SwissBorg project to act as an important link the between the SwissBorg team and the community that sustains us.
