DAO Program update
DAO App 1.4 & Smart DAO Treasury
The SwissBorg DAO program and its App has grown tremendously in the last month. From word of mouth, the SwissBorg DAO program gathers (end of September 2021) almost 3'000 DAO members, with more than 28'000 quests & 900 missions completed. Relying on the power and wisdom of the 240 DAO guardians, the SwissBorg DAO program has been widely adopted amongst the SwissBorg community and sponsored great projects and initiatives. The DAO was pleased to distribute more than 140'000 CHSB tokens to its active and committed members.
Beyond this popular adoption, the growth of the DAO program has been intentionally slowed down due to the scalability issue of the DAO app. But a new version, more scalable and versatile has been redesigned and developed in the last 5months to eventually absorb the natural growth of the DAO program and scale in parallel with the SwissBorg ecosystem adoption.
A new SwissBorg DAO App
The new version of the DAO App (version 1.4) is planned to be released in October 2021. This new version has been developed with a scalability objective and integrates the latest DAO policy approved by the Guardians. The DAO policies such as Lasy Consensus, BuiDl V2, Liquid Meritocracy has been implemented and enforced in this new version and should enhance dramatically the collective experience of the DAO program.
Some additional features, such as notifications and reputation will be not available in the first version of the new app (1.4.1) but are currently in development and should be available a few weeks after the public release. We hope this new DAO app will enjoy the members and will help the DAO program to many extents.
In terms of the release plan, the DAO Council approved a smooth release with several independent steps to ease as much as possible the transition.
- The current DAO App (1.3.20) will be put offline on the 30th of September 2021. And all data regarding missions, rewards, votes, etc will be stored. The database will be publicly available a few days later to make sure no data are missing during the migration. And members have access to all the history of past events.
- The data migration will start on the 1st of October and we will be running tests for few days to make sure the data migration is 100% accurate and all members can enjoy the new experience with all their legacy.
- The new DAO App (1.4) will be put online on the 7th of October 2021 (to be confirmed) with all migrated data. The DAO app will be available on the same URL https://appdao.swissborg.com/
In a nutshell, to ease the transition, all members are asked to submit their pending missions, quests, initiatives, etc.. before the 30th of September. All pending rewards will be distributed a few days later. Please keep in mind that the current DAO App will be not available for few days, during the data migration. Additionally, the quest experience will be significantly reduced during the transition as fewer quests will be available. If you have any questions, please ask our beloved DAO Councillors on Discord.
A Smart DAO Treasury
Following the DAO program roadmap and considering the future challenges and success of the SwissBorg DAO program, a smart DAO Treasury has been approved by SwissBorg HQ. With more funding, multiple Tokens and recurring funding based on the Community Index and SwissBorg revenues, the SwissBorg DAO program will enter a new era. More versatile, more scalable and more inclusive, the SwissBorg DAO program should attract new talents from diverse backgrounds and diverse crypto communities.

The DAO Treasury will start with a seed of 40'000 USDC. Why USDC? We want to offer security and stability to our DAO members. Initiatives and Campaigns will be able to use the USDC to rewards their members and participants. Based on the last 12 months of history, this seed amount should cover all recurring expenses and vital campaigns of the SwissBorg DAO.
Then on a monthly basis, the SwissBorg DAO will receive recurring fundings based on the Community index average and in 3 Tokens as follow:
Monthly Average Community Index / Amount of the monthly inflow
- 10 to 9.0 = 2'000 USD equivalent
- 8.9 to 8.0 = 1'500 USD equivalent
- 7.9 to 7.0 = 1’000 USD equivalent
- 6.9 to 0 = 500 USD equivalent
All recurring fundings based on the last month Community Index average will be injected into the DAO Treasury at the beginning of every month and will be labelled in CHSB for 40%, BTC for 30% and ETH for 30% based on the closing prices of the months for all token (Coin Market Cap as source). This breakdown relies on the SwissBorg revenues and can be reviewed in 6 months.
Conclusion
The SwissBorg DAO program is moving forward and is more and more ambitious. With a versatile, scalable and inclusive SwissBorg DAO, we envision a new exciting era where the DAO community will grow and empower the SwissBorg community and more largely the Crypto and Blockchain community. We believe that SwissBorg can create bridges and inclusivity within the crypto ecosystem. The SwissBorg DAO should represent this vision.
