Dev Digest: Key Updates from our Tech Department in August
Welcome to the latest edition of our monthly Dev Digest series!
Here, we cover the key news from our Tech department and all things product.
We’ve made significant progress in August and have exciting developments to share — let’s dive in!
#1 — Network Upgrades and Infrastructure Improvements
We have exciting updates to our Testnet to report:
1. Testnet upgrade to v1.0.4 Binary: Key changes include the configuration and deployment of a new EVM Block Explorer and various minor bug fixes and improvements.
2. Development of x/token module: This will enable interaction with tokens sent via IBC and treat IBC tokens like regular ERC-20 tokens on the Swisstronik network.
3. Benchmarking development: We are working on benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in our system. This will serve as a foundation for future optimizations.
4. SDI (Swisstronik Digital Identity) expansion: We are working on adding new issuers for SDI. The more we have — the better the conditions for our users as they’ll have more providers to choose from and potentially enjoy lower prices per verification.
#2 — Swisstronik App Updates
Our App has also seen significant updates across all platforms:
1. Vesting feature: A new vesting feature has been introduced on iOS and Android. Web Extension support is coming soon. This allows users to monitor the release of their vested tokens over time and improves asset management.
2. Stability and performance improvements: We fixed several stability issues and enhanced overall reliability and performance. On Android, we improved the open token screen and optimized node interactions
3. SDI Integration: We are working on integrating full SDI functionality into our applications.

#3 — Developer Tools and Resources
While we don’t have specific updates on developer tools in this digest, we’re continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency and convenience. You can still access our templates and plugins on GitHub, and we encourage you to explore the SDI sample dApp and registry.
