Swisstronik Closed Its First Bug Bounty: Here Are The Results
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the inaugural Swisstronik Bug Bounty Program after an exciting few months of engagement with our developer community!
We launched our first Bug Bounty Program to incentivize contributors to help secure the Swisstronik blockchain before we launch new functionalities. Thanks to the enthusiastic participation from ethical hackers and developers worldwide, we are concluding the program with immense progress towards that goal.
Let the numbers speak for themselves:
- 1,700+ wallets created for testing with over 2,200 EVM transactions between them
- 250+ Github repositories created while testing
- 750+ developers requested early access to Swisstronik Testnet bask in July, which is one of the best results for the Cosmos ecosystem as research shows
- 8,900+ developers engaged through our partners — Immunefi and HackenProof — some of the top Bug Bounty listing platforms in the space
- 760+ developers participated in interactive educational initiatives with our partners LearnWeb3DAO, techFiesta, and Metana
- 100 winners received $4,400+ in rewards in the 12 code challenges that we launched together with LearnWeb3DAO, techFiesta, and Metana
While only 9 reports ultimately qualified for bounties based on severity and scope, we are proud of our developers for their diligence during the program. With over 9,000+ developers interacting in the Bug Bounty, it is a testament to the Swisstronik team’s technical expertise that only a few issues were identified!
What’s next?
Even though the results of the testing seem great, we are not complacent and know there are always opportunities to improve. The reports submitted have already allowed us to enhance stability, security, and documentation. But later, we will be conducting a full professional audit to further detect any lingering bugs before mainnet to ensure the highest security possible.
In the meantime, we’re gearing up for some exciting developments on the Testnet — including our Swisstronik Decentralized Identity and other functionalities. What does that mean? You guessed it: more Bug Bounty programs and even more rewards!
