Welcome to the latest edition of our Dev Digest series!

June has been a month of significant progress and exciting developments. Let’s dive into the updates from the Swisstronik tech lab!

#1 — Chain Upgrade and Infrastructure Improvements

We’re currently working on the chain upgrade 1.0.3, which, among other features, will include DCAP and EPID SGX verification and an opportunity to send unencrypted transactions, making development on Swisstronik more flexible. It’s expected to go live next week.

Also, recent network high-loads helped us to identify areas for improvement, which we’ll account for in the future upgrades:

  • Caching of node public keys to reduce requests to SGX Enclave
  • Updated infrastructure with more fullnodes to avoid single points of failure
  • Ongoing profiling and benchmarking to detect and fix bottlenecks

To make these upgrades smoother for validators, we’re working on a guide for them — expect to see it soon in our chat on Discord: https://discord.gg/AS7JEtVx

#2 — Developer Tools and Resources

We’re excited to announce several new tools and resources for those building on Swisstronik:

These tools will enable easier interaction with the Swisstronik network and streamline dApp development.

#3 — Wallet Updates

Our wallet ecosystem has seen significant updates. iOS and Android apps are now live in the App Store with WalletConnect integration. Web Extension versions with WalletConnect are soon to be released.

Key features of the latest iOS 3.6.1 and the Android 2.0.12 releases include:

  • WalletConnect integration for secure dApp interactions
  • Base network support
  • Bug fixes and performance enhancements

Plus previous updates brought staking and governance support, improved charts, network management, and support for various blockchain networks.

#4 — Community Engagement, Partnerships, and Network Growth

In preparation for our Mainnet launch, we’re offering many activities to our community which would also help us test our network. As a result, we’ve seen tremendous growth in our testnet, with over 150,000 new users joining recently!

While this influx caused temporary network congestion, our team quickly addressed the issues. We view this as an excellent opportunity to reinforce the overall stability and security of the network for the upcoming Mainnet launch.

Additionally, we’re excited about our new partners — such as one of the most recent ones: Pixel, the first Telegram GameFi ecosystem. They’ll soon integrate our network into their app, allowing users to mine test tokens convertible to real SWTR tokens after our Token Generation Event planned for this summer.

These are the key updates from our development team for June!

Stay tuned for more updates in our next edition of Dev Digest — much more progress to come!
