1. Don’t blame yourself

People get fired for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with who they are or their capabilities. Blaming yourself because you got fired is the seed to hating yourself.

It might not seem like a big deal, at first, until you begin tearing yourself apart in your own head and destroying any ounce of optimism or positivity you have left in your life.

Own the lessons of what you can work on when you get fired, just don’t blame yourself for it. You’re doing the best you can and you will fail or get fired at some point.

2. Say thank you

That’s right, I’m going to be crazy again.

Say thank you for being fired. Why? Because you are about to experience the fight of your life and at the end of the process, you’ll never be the same again.

Your life will be forever changed and you’ll have compassion for the hiring process. If you ever become a recruiter or a hiring manager, then you’ll know what it’s like because you’ve been fired and had to fight your way back to the top again.
