Lately, some fellow writers have asked me how I found high-paying freelance clients. They said they found it really hard to do that — some still get paid $200 for a 2000-word article even though they’ve been writing for over three years.

That’s why today, I’ll share three ways I’ve used to improve my content quality and find better-paying clients. These tips work really well for me, so hopefully, they’re useful to you too.

1. Use Contextual Images to Illustrate Your Arguments

In all proposals, I always include “taking screenshots of real-life examples to demonstrate tips and tricks — say no to stock photos.” I turn it into a “unique selling point” for my freelance writing business.

In fact, most of my clients require not to use stock photos of any kind. Some even emphasize that they’re willing to pay extra fees if I can generate infographics, charts, or take screenshots of real-life examples.

Think about this: Stock photos are free and available for everyone. If you use a stock image, the chance is that someone may already use that image elsewhere.
